CowboyinAmerica 2,911
Davos, Switzerland -- For any rebuilding team, there's a time when the young players begin to take a leap. For S94 rookies like Antonia Bucatini and Forum Content, a few of those games occurred where fans could see there are big things ahead. But for the recent crop of Davos rookies that made the leap this past offseason, fans were still waiting to see when their breakout games would occur. But now, two of the youngest Davos members - defenseman Felicia Hardy @JCarson and forward Matteo Stefano @mmrs617 - have made their way into the spotlight. It started in Game 182, against the defending North American champions Toronto. Davos won the Game 6-4, but it was the play of the second line that shown. Stefano scored the first goal of the game and added two assists en route to the second star, while Hardy added a game-winning goal and an additional two assists of their own to gain the third star. Then, in Game 191 against another N.A. playoff team in Chicago, the two may have performed even better. Stefano would get the first star in that game with an incredible two goals and two assists, while Hardy would match his four points with four assists of her own. Davos would take that game as well with a commanding 5-1 victory. In the process, Stefano has doubled his yearly point total in two games, while Hardy miraculously now stands in the top five in the VHL with four game-winning goals. Is this a sign of things to come? Bucatini believes it's a good sign. "People will go through spurts, but what this is proves is that they certainly have the capability at the next level," she explained. "I know the rest of the team has confidence in them to get the job done, and I know there's going to be more games like this for them both. We're just getting started here in Davos and hope to be a contender real soon."
