As we approach the halfway point of S95, the Malmo Nighthawks have done well to once again remain among the cream of the crop in the European Conference. They sit fourth in the VHL with a 23-8-4 record and are just a point behind both Riga and Seattle in the standings.

Although it's a relatively familiar position for the Nighthawks, the way they are getting it done feels a little different, as a team that is usually fairly defense-first finds themselves tied for the league lead in goals for. Notably, they have found a way to score against even the league's best teams, having found themselves on the right side of an 8-1 win over Riga and a 7-5 win over Moscow in the last few days.

Two balanced offensive units featuring Randy Bobandy (19 goals, 60 points), Ronald Johnson MacWallace III (18 goals, 53 points), Savaisk Tzesar (19 goals, 48 points), Phillip Rave (22 goals, 46 points), Viktor Jensen (16 goals, 41 points) and Martin Kemp (14 goals, 30 points) plus massive offensive contributions from defenseman Jacob Stone (17 goals, 54 points) have proven to be a nightmare for opponents to defend against. Three players are on pace for 100 points and five are on pace for 90.

Perhaps this newfound potent offense will help be a catalyst for Malmo come playoff time. Malmo fans can only hope.
