I like the text choice you ended up going with, and it ends up contrasting with the background. The Lightning is a nice touch added to the graphic as well. As for starters, I would end up changing the color of the lightning and the text to match the color of blue that the goalie has. That way it just looks nice and blends in with the graphic. Next, I would probably add some shadows to make the text stand out a bit more. Regardless, you did a great job and I'm sure you'll get better!
