With another early playoff exit at the hands of the Riga Reign, Phillip Rave's fourth VHL season has officially come to an end. Halfway through his career, Rave has established himself as a high-end VHL player and one of the league's best goal scorers, breaking out for 45 goals and 89 points. He has 128 goals and 277 points in 288 games in his VHL career to date.

Although it was Rave's most successful individual season and seems to have set him on a path towards being an impact player throughout the second half of his VHL career, it was not enough for the Nighthawks to break their playoff curse. Rave scored 3 goals in 4 playoff games, and since joining the Nighthawks in S92, their playoff record stands at a shocking 2-16.

Although that is the story that continues to plague Malmo, Rave has no desire to change teams and looks forward to being a Nighthawk for the foreseeable future. With a little better finish to his S95 campaign, we could have seen him threaten the 50-goal plateau, and that will be a personal objective of Rave's heading into S96.
