:mis:Player Spotlight – Jay Sikes:mis:

@JaySmacksss

Twenty-three-year-old Canadian born centerman Jay Sikes, just finished his first season in the VHL after being claimed off waivers on August 9th by the Mississauga Hounds. After singing with the Hounds Sikes was able to see action in sixty-eight games, where he put up twenty-six goals and thirty-five assists in those sixty-eight games. Upon the end of the regular season, Sikes and the Hounds entered the postseason to take on the Houston Bulls. The Hounds were able to take the series in four games before eventually losing to the Philadelphia Reapers in the next round. In total Sikes was able to play in all nine playoff games for the Hounds where he put up one goal and four assists, along with an impressive plus minus rating of plus nine, and twenty hits.

Now that the season has ended for Sikes and the Hounds, next up for the new VHL player is the VHLM Dispersal Draft, where Sikes currently sits fourteen rated prospect in the draft. Currently Sikes is earning about six out of the twelve available TPE each week, so hopefully he will be able to find time for some easy supplemental TPE tasks to continue to climb the prospect ladder.
