Off Season thoughts…

 

-       While Vancouver Wolve might have only completed four trades and a vetoed trade; which I cannot really talk on since I am not sure what happened completely but it sure felt like a lot more. It might have been due to the fact that it seemed all managers wanted to get as many moves completed as of yesterday so we discussed a ton of possible trade options. No, I am not going to mention the trades we discussed openly as I am not the one that actually makes the call to other GM around the league. The GM handles those calls.

 

-       So how do I feel about the roster heading into the season? Actually, really good as we managed to get a very good young player in Matteo Stefano; who if I remember correctly, we almost reached down for during the S94 draft instead of drafting Soju but in the end we couldn`t/ didn`t feel right reaching down that far in the draft to grab him at the time. So it nice to be adding another young player that we think highly of and gives us a solid core of S94 players moving forward.

 

-       Vetoed trade was simple salary situation where we need to pick between Guntis & Calaway and as is the players right to refuse the trade Guntis did so. It forced us to piviot slightly and move Calaway instead and in the long run it might have been the right move all along… So maybe Girts saved us from ourselves!!

 

- Oh, What a scare I had earlier this week when I was message by one of the Vancouver Wolves players saying that I was traded and my player would be missed. I was confused to say the least as Frank never mentioned to me that he was considering trading me to any team. To find out that said player somehow confused me for a player that we tried to trade but vetoed that trade but through all the trade talks it did give me cause to pause!! So I had to chuckle to myself slightly at mistake of mistake identity!!

 

-       Sad to see our teams MVP traded to Toronto but it will make the games mean more and even more sweater if we beat them!!

 

-       Through the shuffle we also landed a really good forward in King Kisslinger; who should fit into our group nicely as I have had past expereince with the manager in Prague seasons ago!!

 

-       Rip Wheeler decided he wanted to bug Trueno more so switched to defense so he can be paired with his friend and sit beside him on the bench. It might be a case where these two could be joined at the hip for the remained for Wheelers career… Hopefully the can keep it respectable!!

 

-       Draft – No picks and I also think I am busy so it should be a quiet one for me but we will see if Frank makes any more moves!!

 

-       As for my player: PMB – I have no clue what I am doing with him at the moment but I still have time to figure out his build to start the season with 30+ TPE banked. I am hopeful for a much stronger season and we see him break out with at least 70-80pts season; if not than Vancouver at least makes the finals!
