With Skor McFleury undeniably a lock for the Hall of Fame, the Season 87 draft class will not be shut out of the Hall of Fame. To find a draft class with no representation in the Hall of Fame, we have to go back to Season 69. After McFleury is officially a part of the Hall, that will be 18 drafts in a row with at least one player inducted. That streak could come to an end with Season 88.

Who are the players with any semblance of a chance? I have a list of seven players: Mark Calaway, FISTED ANALLY BY A CIRCUS MONKEY Analfist, Bobby Bob, Jasper Davis, Jacob Stone, Liv Slater, and Merome Dilson. I'm being very generous with several of these names (particularly the forwards), but with one season left, who knows what will happen. Truthfully, I think for any of them to make it, we would need to see an MVP-caliber season. But who among this list is most likely to make it?

Merome Dilson already has one Scotty Campbell Trophy to his name, and perhaps winning another would give him the accolades needed. He hasn't won a championship yet, and his stats don't particularly make him stand out, but if he can replicate his Season 92, raising his career save percentage a couple points, he could have a shot.

Jacob Stone is the only other player who I would say has anything better than a slim chance of making it. Although under a point-per-game for my career, if I can have a season similar to last year and reach 200 goals and 640 points, maybe there is a chance. Compared to recently inducted defenders like Jake Thunder and Brian Payne, I will have an extra season but my stats will be comparable. My regular season stats, anyway. Even if my regular season numbers are good enough, my playoff results have been very lackluster. Barring a 35+ goal, 100+ point award winning season and a Continental Cup for my Malmo Nighthawks, I just don't see it happening. I still think my case is better than any of the other defenders in my class, unless they grossly outperform me this season.
