It's Sunday again, and once again I've found myself in a situation where I've procrastinated on a .com article. Last week I remembered at 10:35pm. It's a full 8 hours earlier this time, at least.

 

Shevchenko is approaching the 600 TPE threshold. I'm not sure if that's faster than my prior players have made it, but it feels pretty quick. Really hoping for a big year from the big ol' European, but a lot is going to depend on chemistry, and with the very small D.C. Dragons roster, there's not a lot of line shuffling options if it doesn't work out.

 

Speaking of shuffling, the London United franchise made a couple of interesting moves on Wednesday, first trading Nathan Ecker and a 3rd round pick in 98 to Seattle for Malmo's 2nd rounder in 97. Then the United moved the Malmo pick to Davos in exchange for Davos' S98 3rd and Kendra Cavill. So ultimately, London moved from X to Y in the third round of a draft (where players are rarely selected) in two years and swapped a S93-Drafted Right Wing with 527 TPE for a S93-Drafted Goalie with 330 TPE. They're both welfare players, and London doesn't have a goaltender, but Cavill doesn't seem like the answer, at least not yet. I'd be interested to know more about the decision making process here.

I assume Cavill will get called up then, because she's not on the roster yet. I wondered if that was it, though.
