Pulling the cover off of the brand new …..

 

Last night before going to bed I was thinking of the best way to explain the start of a new hockey season and the best way I could come up with was the excitement and joy of being a sixteen-year-old kid and your parents might or might not have bought you a car. The scene from Transformers comes to mind as the dad pulls into the Porsche dealership and the kids is like no way dad you are going to buy me one of these!! No Way!! They typical dad response is of course not and takes him to the second-hand dealer down the road.

 

 

Well, here we are at the start of the season with all 16 teams think like a 16-year-old think what is under the cover in the garage, some will already know that they have nothing under the cover, some will assume that they have a dud but some will think they have a Ferrari or some other equal high end car that will take them straight to victory. Some will even think that they have a Ferrari only to find out that they have a Fiat instead.

 

 

So I guess in a few days will find out what STHS has bought his children for their birthday as the covers come off the new shinny and improved teams this season!!

 

How many team will make lemonade out of the lemons

they are likely to have this season?

I need sims! At this point, I’ll take whatever STHS has to offer, this offseason felt way too long

Yeah, we made most of our moves as usually early in the off season so it feels like we wait for ever but really it not that long. I guess we just need to learn to pace ourselves better!! Instead of running at 200mph all the time we need to slow down and enjoy the view once in a while but then again what good is high end sports car if you are going to drive it slowly?

 

Guess it as my grandma used to say to me when I was younger: Is it better to be moving slowly rather then wreck on the side of the road? Bah!! I never really understood that comment!! LOL!!

When I learned to drive, I was always told to keep my eyes on the road and not to get caught taking in the view.  

 

I also get stressed out in traffic so I’d rather just wait at the destination than take my time getting there… but I’m still going to complain about waiting
