Rough Start

Well Helsinki’s opening day was a bust as they went 0-2-1. While they put up a good fight in game 1 against New York with a score of 4-5, they were handed their asses to them with a 7-1 loss to Moscow and a 7-2 loss to Malmo. With only 7 goals for and 19 goals against, Helsinki has a lot of growing pains to go through this season. Rough start but it’s only the beginning.

 

Rookie Defenseman Ahsoka Tano didn’t do too bad, however. Over the 3 games she scored 1 goal and had 4 assists for 5 points. She did end a -2 but with 12 shots, 0 penalty minutes, and 15 shots blocked, we are definitely seeing glimpses of what made Tano the top d-man in the now defunct VHLE. Hopefully if Helsinki can give this rookie the right line to play on, she’ll be able to shine here as well.

Had to lay a beat down in that Moscow game, can't let these rookies think they can have it easy!
