I rather enjoy writing weekly PT tasks, but have not done any of the one's from the PBE this season as I have a PT pass, so I decided I could do them for the VHL instead!

The most recent prompt was: Going into the last few games of the regular season your player takes on a new pre-game habit in hopes of keeping a strong pace for your team/individual stats or to turn things around from how they've been going. Describe the new habit and its impacts.

As Feka Ohi Kau is from Niue, a tropical island country, picking up skating for him was the toughest part about learning to play hockey. He had the strength to hit and be hit, the hand eye coordination to work his stick, but struggled (and still does) with moving around on the ice. To help with this, he has started to do warmups on the ice this season that mimic the sports he is used to. For example, he runs routes and catches a football on the ice before games, does dribbling drills on the ice, and also takes a quick batting practice as well. While this may be highly unorthodox, practicing these familiar movements has helped him learn to transfer the skills that he has from other sports to the ice, allowing him to adapt what he currently knows instead of having to pick up a full new skillset.
