If there's one thing that springs to attention when evaluating Ron World Peace Jr, it's this: He still has a long, long way to go. Right now, any dream of playing in the VHL one day seems to be far-fetched. The San Diego Marlins defenseman has fought his way into the team's rotation, but to say he's making any kind of impact would be stretch at this point and time.

If you happen to take a look at the Marlins individual stats, World Peace Jr happens to be last in just about every boxscore category you can possible think of: points, goals, assists, shot conversion rate, hits, etc etc. He only seems to be doing fair in the +/- column and with his 35 shots blocked.

"What can I say?", the German said in a media availability session. "Nobody said this was going to be easy. I still have a lot to learn as a hockey player and it's going to take some time for me to get up to par with the rest of the crowd."
