xNJDevilsFanx 123
The season is dwindling down for the Saskatoon Wild, and it's about to end on a rocky cliff. The two losses on Sunday to the San Diego Marlins and the Mississauga Hounds were brutal, as the team conceded nine goals in two games. However, the offense hasn't been a struggle anymore, with the scoring of Captain Nugget Jr. and C.J Daniels, the offensive creativity slowly continues to get better, but it does nothing to avert them from last place in the VHLM standings. The Saskatoon Wild did get some wins against the San Diego Marlins and the Houston Bulls throughout the week, but brutal losses covered up their highlights. Currently, the Saskatoon Wild is fifth in the VHLM Western Conference, and last in the VHLM standings, with 181 allowed goals this season. The Saskatoon Wild rank last in all stat categories, which is a new low for one of the worst teams in VHLM history. However, with time, the Saskatoon Wild will see this season as only a developmental season. xNJDevilsFanx 123
This was a season to forget for the Saskatoon Wild, as they finished with a 18-45 record, with 9 matches going in overtime. The Wild could never find their grasp this season, ranking bottom of the list in all statistical stats, with a record breaking 97 goals, amongst the worst stat in franchise history. The Wild, who won the Founder's Cup in S94, have taken a massive setback, developing their players in hopes to pick back up the pace next season. They struggled offensively, with three right wins in Nugget, Daniels, and Martinez. After hearing C.J Daniels' postseason press conference, he's using this off-season to focus on transitioning into a left-winger. Nugget Jr carried the offense this season, with 25 goals and 22 assists, his worst season since he signed for the Saskatoon Wild. In conclusion, the team is lacking chemistry, from offense to defence. The worst season in VHLM history may be the greatest season for the Wild in hindsight. xNJDevilsFanx 123
The off-season has come around for C.J Daniels, and he's been grinding like he's lost his mind. Everyday, CJ consults with his coaches, Nate and Nick, to help him sharpen his hockey skills daily. He felt bad about last season, as the Saskatoon Wild finished the season with only 18 wins, with Captain Nugget Jr carrying the offense. He thought long and hard about the season, and realized he had to lock in for next season. The Saskatoon Wild are revving up for season 2, using last year's disgrace as a developmental season to avoid repeating the same mistakes this season. This team is young and just constructed, so it has many years to develop and construct into a great VHLM team. For now, C.J Daniels is training with his older brother, P.J. Daniels to make sure he can be the version of himself in the regular season. Maybe, he could exceed the expectations people set for P.J. Daniels.
