xNJDevilsFanx 134
At 9:02 AM, C.J. Daniels fell to his knees, praying this day would never come. His neighbours couldn't tell if he was happy or sad, but they sense a scream of despair. He was released by the Saskatoon Wild after his one-season contract. He will entering into the VHLM draft, where he would have to reach a threshold to be drafted by the VHL. C.J is on the right path to success, but this minor setback had him thinking about all the possible outcomes of the draft. He wants to be able to show to coaches that he's available, and ready to improve daily. He wants to contribute to a winning team, a winning culture, an identity bigger than him. He's been working on his craft in the off-season, along with his brother P.J Daniels. He hopes for a fantastic upcoming season as he aims to shatter records in the VHLM. xNJDevilsFanx 134
Well, that was quite the overreaction from Mr. Daniels. The Saskatoon Wild and C.J Daniels have reached an agreement to come back to the team, after he was drafted with he eleventh pick in the second round. He's excited to come home and finish what he started with the Wild in his first season. The locker room felt lively again as C.J. Daniels stepped back in to retain his jersey. He quoted saying, "there were fantastic vibes last night, and all I wanted to do in practice was to show the coach my 100% dedication to this team." The day before the draft, C.J Daniels was prepared to be a San Diego Marlin, as he was projected #4 on all draft boards. However, that wasn't the case as the Marlins selected Cardinal Copia with the 4th pick from Sweden. Ultimately, C.J Daniels can put last week's heartbreak behind him, because he'll get a second crack at glory in the next upcoming days. xNJDevilsFanx 134
A new chapter for Mr. Daniels has arrived, as he will be taking the stage with Team World in the World Junior Championship. This is an excellent opportunity for C.J, as he's able to see the beautiful game of hockey played at the international stage. He's already made some connections with his teammates and the staff, excited to show his talents to the world. In the meanwhile, he's been practicing with P.J Daniels at home in Denmark, working on his wrist and slap shots. He needed a better form on his shots, so P.J's helped him on how to hit the puck correctly. C.J's taken some time over the off-season to meet with his family & friends, his loved ones, and his brother. Together, they had a few field trips, like Nyhavn, and Tivoli Gardens. He's had a fun time reconnecting with his family, but the goal remains the same. He wants to become the greatest hockey player of all-time, and there's nothing that will stop him from reaching that goal. xNJDevilsFanx 134
The season has returned for the Saskatoon Wild, and C.J Daniels took no time entering himself into the scoring sheet. Currently, in six games, he has 1 goal and 2 assists, making his presence known on the offensive side of the puck. There are still problems to solve, but C.J Daniels have shown glimpses of spark throughout the season. For now, the Wild worry about the consistently of their offense, as Daniels, Tuomala, Sandstrom, and Fries are building chemistry with one another off the court. Mr. Daniels took it upon himself during the off-season to work on his passing and stick-handling, running drills with his brother. He aims to be one of the best pass-first forwards to ever lace up the skates. xNJDevilsFanx 134
C.J. Daniels seems to be in a focused and motivated mindset as he pushes toward his goals. Balancing his personal ambitions, like reaching the 50-point mark, alongside the team’s goal of making the postseason, shows his deep commitment to both individual growth and team success. His recent visit to the Seattle Bears headquarters, where he interacted with his brother in the VHL, must have been an eye-opening experience. Witnessing firsthand the level of competition and the inner workings of a top-tier organization likely gave him new insights into the game. The exposure to that environment could be a valuable source of motivation as he wraps up the season with Saskatoon. With only twelve games left, it’s clear that Daniels is driven, but it’s interesting to consider how this experience might impact his mindset and performance in the final stretch. Does it give him a fresh perspective on what he can achieve? Link to comment https://vhlforum.com/topic/153367-no-placeno-home-for-cj/#findComment-1050908 Share on other sites
xNJDevilsFanx 134
The playoffs are here, and the Saskatoon Wild are set to make their debut on the biggest stage in the VHLM. In Round 1, they’ll face the San Diego Marlins, a team they’ve battled with all season. The Wild finished the regular season with a 33-31 record, well above .500, and made a significant leap in their offense, scoring 130 goals—doubling last season’s total. They’re entering the postseason with plenty of momentum, but the Marlins are the top team in the Western Conference for a reason. Defence will be critical in this matchup, with Tuomala and Sandstrom tasked with containing the Marlins' offensive threats, including Jerry Box, Cardinal Copia, Ender, and others. Offensively, the Wild have been dynamic, boasting two players with over 50 goals/assists on the season. With the bright lights of the playoffs on them, C.J. Daniels is ready to take on the challenge and lead his team forward to victory. xNJDevilsFanx 134
In the blink of an eye, C.J. Daniels' VHLM career came to an abrupt end as the Las Vegas Aces eliminated the Saskatoon Wild 4-1 in the second round of the playoffs. It was a bitter moment for Daniels, who had hoped to lead the Wild to a championship. Unfortunately, the stars didn’t align for him this time. However, there is a silver lining. Daniels now joins the Seattle Bears, the reigning VHL champions, who recently clinched their first VHL Cup in over three years with a dominant 4-1 victory over the Riga Reign. Daniels is eager for the opportunity to contribute to a team that’s already tasted championship glory and hopes to help them defend their title in the coming season. As Daniels puts it, “I’m really excited to be part of this team, especially with the morale so high after winning the Cup. Who knows what we can achieve moving forward? But for now, it’s time to hit the off-season training and get ready for what’s next.” Link to comment https://vhlforum.com/topic/153367-no-placeno-home-for-cj/#findComment-1052913 Share on other sites
