Player Spotlight – Agustin Martinez

In this weeks’ edition of the first-generation player spotlight we will take a look at Agustin Martinez who joined the VHL back on November 11^th, 2024. After joining the league during season ninety-six, Martinez joined the Saskatoon Wild for the remaining thirteen games of the season. In those thirteen games played for the Wild, Martinez put up one goal and two assists for the Wild who were unfortunately the worst team in the VHLM last season after so many seasons at the top of the league. While on the ice Martinez didn’t have, they showing they would have liked the Philippine born VHLer continued to make amazing strides off the ice.

 

That commitment to training was recently noticed by the Mexico City Kings, as Martinez was drafted fifteenth overall in the season ninety-seven VHLM Dispersal Draft. At the time of writing this media spot, Martinez had accumulated 126 TPE. Martinez has been a consistent earner since joining the league at the beginning of November, including putting out media spots, press conference answers and VHL.com articles. If Martinez can continue to earner at the rate they currently are, we can foresee a first round selection for the youngster in the season ninety-eight VHL Entry Draft.
