qripll 522
Trade Offseason was busy for me. Obviously, trades were made and Dragons made their headliner move as well. Former captain Konstantin Shevchenko and best defenceman DB IV moved to Toronto Legion in a return for 1st S98, 1st S98, Kyle Toms, Been Laas and Adam Joy. I would be happy to keep Konstantin, but we didn't fit each other. He will be in his prime in a season and I don't see Dragons in playoffs race until S100. As a GM, I recognise there is no reason to waste someone's career so I took a decision to trade him. I've got one more trade offer for Shevchenko from the rebuilding team, in my opinion it was a bit better option as it would definitely be a lottery pick. However, I respect player's willingness and der meister was glad to move to Toronto. NA conference is extremely tight and there were no room for Toronto in playoffs last season, once this thing repeats I'd be more than happy and all doubts about the value of trade will disappear. I wish Shevchenko best of luck with his career as he was truly nice part of my first GM season ever. More than that, I had some trade talks with European conference team. Goalies swap with an addition from my side. Potentially big and reasonable trade for both sides. On the other hand, it would cost us original 1st round pick and I am not into moving it. At least, I feel so for today's morning. Captains As I mentioned earlier, captaincy is a free spot and I decided to announce them without team voting. We have young core of rookies and they are hope of DC Dragons. Please, welcome your captain! Spoiler Brandon Petan Jr - @sadie Alternative captains: Spoiler YNFR - @twists Tom Dufour - @Cookie Team Asia World Junior Championship took his logical end. For the first time in Team Asia history, they have won gold medals. And I am tremendously excited to be a leading part of that team. Goalie tandem Trunov and Mac was absolutely amazing. Both had a huge impact on team results, especially during the playoffs. Now, with more passion and desire I came back in Ottawa Lynx Locker Room and now it's time to chase the Founder's Cup. World Cup As a reigning champion, I was invited to take over the Team World one more time. It was an honour for me, so why not! Unfortunately, my gold medal win streak is finally over. It was really mediocre round robin and we secured a playoffs spot only with the last sim. I tried to find better lines and solutions to boost us but couldn't succeed as I expected. Nevertheless, we won wild card matchup and lost in semi finals. However, medal streak is still alive so we won bronze game and took what we truly deserve. Never had a time to look at World Cup history, but I suppose gold and bronze is a great result under my tenure. I did the best with this generation of players, thanks commissioners for such a wonderful experience. sadie 1 Link to comment https://vhlforum.com/topic/153905-dc-captains-and-shortcut-of-the-offseason/ Share on other sites
