Hot Start for Ricky and the San Diego Marlins

Just like your read in the title-– it certainly has been a hot start for the Marlins! They currently sit at the top of the league after 16 games with an 11-4-1 record, tied with the Las Vegas Aces who are 8-1-7 in their 16 games played. The 2 teams are tied at 23 points a piece, placing them both in 1st overall for the Western Conference and the VHLM overall. 

Just behind them are the Ottawa Lynx (11-5-0) and the Miami Marauders (10-4-2) who are the same predicament in the Eastern Conference. Both teams are tied at 22 points, making them tied for 1st in the East and 3rd overall in the VHLM.
This has been a very close race at the top of the standings, but I would have to say that San Diego has been lights out so far with the lowest goals against in the league. The defence have been incredibly consistent, and Ricky has been standing on his head consistently. 

Only time will tell us how this close battle for the top of the standings will unfold, but this season has been a wild ride with a lot of skilled players making names for themselves.
