VHLM Prospect Talk: Blake Campbell

With us today is new comer to the VHL, Minot Gladiator young goalie Blake Campbell. Blake had entered into the league late last week and has already made quite the name for himself. He came on strong into the league on a mission and so far he is completely on track. Here's a quick recap of the interview we had with him. Catch the full feed up on VHLM.com! 

 

How has it been so far in the VHL/VHLM?

 

"At the start it was a lot to take in. It was a big transition going from one league to another, however, thanks to some great people within the VHL I have found myself more confident lately. Obviously the SHL will always be my #1, but VHL is for sure 2nd. It's a good league it seems full of some legit people."

 

How do you feel you've done at making a name for yourself?

 

"To be honest man, I'm here to do one things and one thing only and that's to be the best I can be. Right now, I'm flying out of the gates with my hands in the air and pants down. No ones stopping me - I'm full speed ahead. Will I slow down? I sure hope not! So whether or not I've made a name for myself, I really don't know or care. My focus is on doing whatever it takes to become better."

 

What are your goals?

 

"Well, right now I'm working on my Rebound Control, Style Control. Size and Agility. I feel those are important to me and right now I'm really just looking to round myself and balance myself. I can't have holes in my game. At this level it's potentially easier to cover them up. My biggest goal right now is to press every starter in the league. Make them feel the pressure. You guys got a head start on me and I'm going to be pressing on your ass all season long! So buckle up!
