MOSCOW, RU — Another thrilling VHL regular season has reached its conclusion and with that, a few rookies are getting their first taste of the VHL playoffs: the most grueling yet gratifying time for the best hockey players in the world once they get their hands on the coveted Continental Cup. The DBC caught up with one of the rising stars of the VHL, River Harrington, for his thoughts on what this means to him.

“Obviously I’m stoked. Our hard work this past season has shown and now we’re ready to fight for the Cup,” Harrington said. “It’s something every hockey-loving kid has always dreamed about and I want to have my name up in lights with the best of the best.”

We asked Harrington about his experience in the league thus far, and how it’s impacted his game.

“I’ve just been trying to pull my own weight, honestly,” Harrington answered, his expression placid. “Playing on a pairing with Jillian Woods meant that I’ve learned a lot from her as well as the other veterans on the team. I hope we carry the synergy we’ve had into the playoffs and take Davos down.”
