A chair sits alone in a room; a door is heard opening and closing, a few footsteps are heard before Mikko Borisyuk comes into the frame and sits down. He lets out a light sigh before making eye contact with the camera.
"It comes with my heaviest heart that I must announce my retirement from the VHL, it was a great 10-season run, from Mexico City to Halifax to Bratislava, Vancouver, Helsinki, and ending in Toronto, thanks to everyone who took a chance on me. Although I didn't win in the current leagues, I'm still proud to be a Renaissance Cup winner in Season 92. Thank you to all my teammates through the years, you guys and gals and pals will always be more than players to me, you guys will be my friends. I wish I could keep going, but I know my play will get worse, and I will be deadweight on contenders, so I must give my final goodbyes. I hope to see you all around, as a friend, as a coach, as a player even, but who knows, with that being said, I have one last thing to give to the league."
He gets up and walks out of the camera's sight, another door is opened and closed before a second pair of footsteps is heard approaching, after a second, a tall, skinny, tattered-up man in a suit takes a seat on the chair. Mikko leans on his shoulder and peers down at the camera.
"This is my brother, quite different in everything, but he is my blood, to all the VHLM and VHL gms, he will be joining the VHL for Season 99, please take care of him, and he will take care of your blue line, with that said, I will leave you alone with him and let him tell you about himself, one last time, thank you VHL, it was a blast."
Mikko gets off of his brother's shoulder and pats it before walking out of frame and out of the door, his brother watches as the door shuts before turning his eyes in front of him.
"Hello there, my name is Takashi Borisyuk, I come from rural Maine, USA, and am happy to be joining you for the 99th season of the VHL, my goal is to be a tough checking D-man who also likes to put up some points, I am never afraid to step up for my teammates so expect a few missing teeth for any sucker who plays dirty. I hope you guys will enjoy my play, and I can't wait to get on the ice with one of the teams. If it is everything my brother has told me, I know I will love it; I guess I'll see you guys then, bye-bye."
Takashi sits awkwardly for a moment before getting up and reaching for the camera, the screen cuts to black and displays one last message for a few seconds: Goodbye VHL MB 17/34 and his signature. Afterward, it disappeared, and a new message faded in under it: Hello VHL TB 42 and his signature.
