I feel like a Tool lyrics right now: he had a lot of nothing to say. I guess I'll start with my hopes for Toronto this coming season. Adding a center of Spanish Moon Moth's caliber should definitely help us at the very least maintain our place in the standings. Of course, the offseason has barely started, so I expect more moves to be made not only in Toronto, but around the league.

I am banking Shevchenko's TPE to wait and see what makes sense. With the uncertainty up the middle, maybe I dump into faceoffs, though I think that is unlikely to be the end result.

On a personal level, the job search continues. I have had a handful of interviews, am waiting to hear back on one, and have a phone screening Tuesday afternoon. I've spent the past month applying to jobs, foreign and domestic, but I haven't heard a peep from anything outside the US, which us frankly disappointing. Almost everything I've applied to internationally are things I am overqualified for, to help potential employers feel more at ease with regard to hiring. Alas, nothing. I do have to say that applying to jobs as a potential immigrant is a pain in the ass, but a big shout out to the New Zealand government for having an easy-to-use, searchable index of companies that are approved to offer visa sponsorships. Finding a job posting, then looking up the company is definitely preferential to flinging my resume blindly at companies that might not even legally be allowed to sponsor.
