If you've been reading and keeping up with my commentaries here, you'll know that there's been a lot of uncertainty for me, as a human. Searching for jobs, starting therapy largely due to work-related stress, trying to be a good dad, working on the legit final draft of my debut novel, and continuing to grow my digital presence on YouTube is a lot to juggle. I'm at the point in my life where I'm thinking about selling a bunch of things I've collected over the years, from my Dreamcast collection to Magic and Pokémon cards. The idea of turning things I never or rarely use into 5 to 10 thousand dollars could help in terms of taking a step down from my current situation [and pay]. It makes me sad, but ultimately those things are also hollow attachments.

I know I talked a lot about real life, but let's be honest: it's the weird part of the VHL offseason where most of us are just mentally kicking a rock down an empty sidewalk, waiting for something to happen.  A handful of teams have been exceptionally busy in the trade market, with teams like Malmo making 7 trades in the last week. Actually, focusing on Malmo for a second, they have decent depth, but no star players, and only a single pick, the first overall selection in this upcoming Draft. It's curious to see, and I wonder what the master plan might be for the Nighthawks. Looking at the first round picks, the D.C. Dragons have 3 first rounders, and the Warsaw Predators have a staggering 4, meaning that a quarter of the first round picks will be heading to Poland.
