Many expected a tight battle between the two teams and that is exactly what we saw!  In the first period, Canada had 3 powerplay opportunities, but they failed to take advantage, Europe was solid in the defense, which also showed on the shots as Canada had 13 shots and Europe 10 despite Team Europe sitting in the box frequently. The first goal of the game in the second period as CJ Daniels made it 1-0 for Team Europe. After two periods, game was 1-0 for Team Europe, but Canada managed to finally get on the scoreboard when On Skates made it 1-1 in the third. After 60 minutes the score was 1-1. The winner of the game was decided on the overtime, Jakobs scored for Team Europe and secured the win from a tight battle.
