Igor Sokolov hosted an event in downtown Kingston at the Slush Puppie Place to help gain some attention for his upcoming drafts. He hosted an all-star skills competition with some of the OHL's stars. Some of the events were the classic NHL all-star ones, such as faster skater, break-away challenge, and hardest shot.

We started with the hardest shot competition where Igor Sokolov blasted a 105mph slapshot on his final shot, making the crowd erupt with cheers as their player got the victory. Igor celebrated by jumping into the glass and laughing and smiling with fans.

The Breakaway challenge was easily the most fun of the night. The breakaway that Igor did was called the cyclone. He put the puck on his stick and lifted it in the air, and spun in circles towards the net over and over again until he could shoot on the net. Igor wiped out and missed the net, causing a bunch of laughs and smiles. On his second shot, he went back to his russian roots and did the classic Datsyukian and got a super clean goal. Showcasing his silky smooth hands!

The final event of the night was the fastest skater event. Igor's main weakness was his speed, as he was still working on his skating. Igor showcased his improvements but fell short and came second.

Igor feels like this helped his draft stock, showing that he is constantly improving, can have some fun when needed, and also be serious when needed.

Igor is looking forward to being picked in the draft!
