Player Spotlight - Agustin Martinez

Season Ninety-Eight draftee and first-generation player Agustin Martinez is coming off her first ever VHL draft, where the sixteen-year-old winger was drafted fifth overall by the D.C. Dragons. Prior to the VHL Entry Draft this past week, Martinez was coming off her first full VHL season with the Mexico City Kings. Martinez had a decent first full season in the VHL with the Kings, putting up twenty-five goals and thirty-one assists in those seventy-two regular season games. Martinez also played in all four playoff games for Mexico City where he put up three assists in those four games.

 

Off the ice Martinez has been putting in work to improve day in and day out. Since joining the league back on November 11, 2024, Martinez has put up 299 TPE as of today.  Since her first week claiming TEP, Martinex has been pumping out Media Spots, VHL.com articles, Press Conferences and Game Recaps, which is impressive for a first generation VHL player. While Martinez has likely one more season left in the VHLM, we look forward to watching her develop into an everyday VHLer in the not so distant future.
