Game 493: Los Angeles Stars vs Chicago Phoenix, 4-3 OTL

 

Although the loss came as a hurt to the team, dropping the Stars’ hopes of a playoff spot even more, there was one good thing to come out of this game. S97 rookie defender Bubbles LaFleur reached the 50 assist milestone in his rookie season. This honestly has been such a surprise for myself, my previous players were both forwards who both had very average rookie seasons while my new defender has been producing points like crazy. Already surpassing both my previous player’s rookie season point totals. Even though Los Angeles is currently an underdeveloped team who will more than likely not make the playoffs this season, Bubbles has been playing a lot of big minutes and has capitalized on that. Through 63 games played, Bubbles has 18g, 50a, 68p in his rookie campaign. 
 

This is the first player that I have created where I have the full mindset of “chill earning”. If I want to earn 11/12 capped a week, cool. If I want to earn 7/12 capped a week, cool. This chill mindset has been so much fun and it’s even more fun to see my player doing so well. 2nd in points on the Stars this season, 2nd in points amongst rookies in the league, and 8th in points amongst defenders in the league. I never expected my player to have this good of a solo performance in his first season, I’m really excited about it and I’m really excited to watch this team grow throughout the seasons.
