Miller; Philly Fall Short in the Playoffs

Recommended Posts

And with the final horn, the Philadelphia Reapers have fallen to the Halifax 21st in 6 games, ending what some were expecting to be a potential finals matchup with the Houston Bulls.  One of the many players who spoke with the media after the game was Mia Miller, who will be going into the VHLM Dispersal Draft at the end of the season.  Miller struggled for much of her playoff campaign offensively, finishing with just one point in twelve games.  Despite this she did play solid defensively, finishing as a plus player and recording fourteen hits and fourteen blocked shots.  This is what she had to say on her playoff run and her time with the Reapers:

“Yeah that’s not a way we ever expected to go out.  I think we all envisioned ourselves getting our shot in the Founders Cup Finals, but maybe that was the problem.  Halifax took it to us, all the credit to them.  As for myself, I am definitely disappointed with the outcome but I don’t regret my decision to join the Reapers.  Philly was a fun place to play and got to know a lot of other great players in my draft class and older, and they will be some fun friends and good rivals over the years I’m sure.  Finally, to answer the obvious question on what I need to improve on.  It’s pretty clear my offensive game is inconsistent, and that has to be my focus to be the two way player I aspire to be. “
