Another offseason has come along, and while the Wild did not make it to the finals, some of the players are actively trying to keep in shape and prepare for the upcoming VHL draft. Among those players is defenseman Titus Cunningham. As many around the VHL know, Cunningham spends his offseasons in a professional wrestling league and has become a rather large star. The powerhouse wrestler has recently begun utilizing a finishing maneuver that sends chills down the spines of all who are on the receiving end of it. While the move closely resembles a piledriver, it involves a greater level of technique to pull off safely, and Cunningham knows how to do it well. When trying to come up with a name for the move, Cunningham recalled a moment on the ice where he destroyed an opposing offensive player. After laying out a massive hit, Cunningham said, "That was one wild ride, huh?" And, upon that recollection, the Wild Ride finishing maneuver was born. The Wild Ride has become a fan favorite, creating the loudest pops ever, and to this day, not one opponent has kicked out of it. When asked about the success of the move, Cunningham said, "This move is largely psychological. While it is devastating and hurts an insane amount, my opponents are never sure if I'm going to add the extra pressure to cause serious pain. That, in itself, makes the move devastating."
