Mia Miller is one of many tremendous prospects that will be selected in the Season 100 VHL Dispersal Draft in next off-season.  In the meantime, she will be looking towards the Season 99 VHLM Dispersal Draft to see who she will be patrolling the blueline for next season.  There have been as many as four teams that have reportedly been in touch with her camp, and it wouldn't be suprising to see more follow suit prior to the draft itself.

 

Miller showcases a strong defensive foundation with a will to win, flashes of being physical and a good combination of strong edgework and impressive puck skills.  She will need to improve her shot if she wants to be anything more than a shutdown defender at the next level, but most scouts do think the strides will be made and there is a lot of potential to uncover.  An excellent leader, despite obvious challenges along her hockey journey, she has often be praised as one of the more prominent leaders in the room.  With all that being said, scouts will be watching her closely this year to see if the offensive potential can be realized. I expect a first round selection is likely in the VHLM Draft, but with some really strong Season 99 prospects, I think she may still be waiting a bit come draft night.
