VHL Rewritten

Alright I just wrote an article because I was frustrated about how things are going. Looking at the rosters for the World Cup and the upcoming VHL season has me disappointed in how we have approached this era of VHL hockey. But you’re going to hear enough negativity, and a whole slew of complaints and proposals ranging from the absolutely absurd to the should-have-been-implemented-years-ago. We’ll play the blame game, and surely, some people will get their feelings hurt in the process.

 

So I’ll save the negativity, embrace the challenge, and enjoy the process. There is a lot to be excited for, and the league should certainly survive for its 100th season, a testament to systems that have worked for nearly two decades. But, I don’t plan to embrace tradition and historical precedent for the sake of it. I plan to try to help guide this community forward. Discussions will continue, but I for one look forward to the chaos that these next few months will bring, and I’m excited to see what everyone else has in store!
