They went into the playoffs as underdog and they played what they thought was their best hockey. The rookie Captain Marcus Hurley was very disappointed with the outcome. All that was going through the young player’s career was, “is this the end? Will my time as Wranglers captain be over?” And that it was. The Calgary Wranglers General Manager had informed him a few days before game 5 that the team will all be up for sale the upcoming season as we did not have enough firepower to compete. Marcus was sad about the information and basically gave up in gave five. His dreams of being the Wranglers captain were over. Hurley was a committed member to the Wranglers he wanted nothing but the best for the association which is why he told the manager that it was ok to trade him off. Hurley is fine with having to get traded because he knew the situation in Calgary wasn’t all that great. This is what Hurley said to the team the night before game 5, “Looks like we lost it. Unless a miracle takes place we lost. I'm proud of what we have accomplished this season I thought we would be bottom feeding team but we really showed the league what a good goalie and 3 actives can do. I know we will all be shipped off next season but I loved every moment of being a wrangler. I would have stuck with the Wrangs for my Career but it just wasn't meant to be. Thank you to D_A for drafting me and making me captain for a season.Good luck to eagles and I hope you do a great job rebuilding this team.
