STOCKHOLM - The Season 42 Victory Hockey League Entry Draft has come and gone, finally bringing the reinforcements the Stockholm Vikings desperately needed. But while the players enjoy a much-needed off-season, the VHL rolls on, as the Awards Ceremony approaches later this week. It will likely come and go without much, if any fanfare for the Vikings after their dismal performance in Season 41, but at least one player from Stockholm could find himself on a ballot: team captain Jack Kowalski.

"My agent told me that there's a very good chance that I could be in the running for the Grimm Jonsson Trophy," said Kowalski during an interview conducted over the telephone. "I was definitely shocked to hear that, considering the league left me off of the All-Star ballot entirely. Seems as if the team as a whole was left off a lot of these ballots, so to hear I've actually got a shot, even if it's an outside shot is pretty exciting. I'm not sure if a rookie has won the Grimm Jonsson before, so it's a great chance to really put an exclamation point on my rookie season."

Whether or not any members of the Stockholm Vikings are actually allowed to attend the Awards Ceremony is unknown at this time.
