Game Discussion

This week, we're going to take a deeper look into the All-Star game.  This was a high scoring affair that the European Conference controlled most of the way after avoiding an early scare in which they quickly found themselves down 2-0.  But they responded quickly thanks to two Thomas O'Malley goals followed by another three to find themselves up 5-2 after the first period.  In the second, North America was held to a measly two shots as Europe continued to dominate and extended their lead to 8-2 as O'Malley completed his hat trick just twenty-eight minutes into the game.  North America managed to slightly up their game in the third, although that very well could be attributed to the horrendous play of Kimmo Salo, who stopped just two of seven shots he faced.  For the North American Conference, forward convert Conner Low picked up a hat trick while Brennan McQueen also registered a hatty in his conference's win.  Robin Gow, despite not getting a hat trick, was the star of the game as he not only scored two goals but assisted on four to lead the way with six points in the European Conference's 12-7 win.
