Commissioner Beketov 9,102 Posted March 12, 2015 Commissioner Share Posted March 12, 2015 It may have taken a few seasons longer than expected but Helsinki forward Jackson Miller appears to be finally coming into his own. After 37 games he sits 12th in league scoring with 48 points and sits just 9 points shy of his total from the entirety of last season. In addition, he has surpassed line-mates James Faraday and Don Draper for the team lead in points; something that he has never done in his career. Miller had this to say regarding his success thus far this season: "We're playing really well on a team and I'm happy with that. As far as my personal stats are concerned, simply put, I feel it's about time. I've been struggling to really step up so far in my career but this season has really pushed my game to the next level. If my math is right I'm on pace for a 92 point season which would be above and beyond anything I've done yet in the VHL. As for taking the team lead in points, I'm not sure how long that will last. I'm pretty proud of it but if I know Faraday and Draper, they'll be right on my heels to take that lead. We like to keep things competitive." Miller's Titans currently sit first in the European conference and third overall in the league and have their eyes set on the playoffs. Time will tell if their scoring thus far will keep on pace or if they will trail off and fall behind as they did last season.
