Jedtsson inches closer to playing professionally

Recommended Posts

Manhattan, NY – Scandinavian defenseman, Golden Jedtsson’s heading to the land of opportunities after being selected 11th overall in the second round by the New York Americans. Jedtsson tells the media he’s excited for what awaits him, but he’s understanding of the state the organization’s in right now, so he’s not rushing success yet. Jedtsson’s likely to be back in Brampton next season as he’ll need to further develop his skills and become knowledgeable of the game that’s played overseas. To begin with, he’ll need to focus on becoming more of a defender rather than a playmaker despite his offensive talent still being a bit raw he’ll get to where he needs to be once the New York Americans need his service. Jedtsson’s among three prospects that have joined the New York Americans one being former teammate, E’Twaun Delicous and the other being Jorma Ruutu.  “It’s a big opportunity. I’m delighted to be here and I’m going to wait for the time to come where I’ll help out on the ice in the VHL. However, right now I’ll await that time to come as I develop in the VHLM. It’s still a long road, but I’m inching closer.”
