Quick Question With Nicolas Caprivi #4

 

This is part four of our new interview series with Nicolas Caprivi, we'll ask him a question or two each week - questions that you can send in, so if there is something that you would like to know from or about the German-Canadian Center from the New York Americans, then just leave them in the thread. The question this week comes from good old Smarch!

 

 

Now that you in the middle of your career, what are your goals form here on out?

 

My main goal right now is to help the Americans become a competitive team again as quickly as possible. This franchise has such a strong recent history of winning and so many great players have left their mark here over the last decade or more, it would really sting if we weren't able to continue that tradition. We have a good young core of players already and I think that I'm just about to enter my prime and can finally be a leader both on and off the ice for the Americans, something I wasn't able to do when I was in Cologne. As a player I think that I am already pretty well-rounded but I still want to work on both my offensive skills and my physical game. I know that other players that are around the same age as myself are a bit ahead of me at the moment, but I'm still confident that I can be a top-player in this league so I wanna become just that.
