MC Hammer the post season bust

    This season, MC Hammer had a season to remember. He amassed a total of 110 points, one short of the team lead. He also had the most points for a defenseman with the VHL beating team mate Chuck Goody by 9 points. Not only did he have the most points for a defenseman, but he also had the most goals for a defenseman scoring 43 goals which was close to the top for goal scorers in the VHL. He also was able to get the puck on net for high success being a top player in shot percentage in the VHL. However these numbers were not able to carry over to the playoffs. This is where teammate Chuck Goody switched places with the ex-rapper. Goody amassed a total of 20 points for the team lead, while Hammer was only able to put up a measly 9. The question is why did Hammer fall so hard in the playoffs? We now want to take a look at some of the reasons why Hammer was a non-factor for the Royals.

Fatigue:

    Here we see fatigue in Hammer’s face. We can also assume he is tired from being the go to guy for the Royals. He was the number one defenseman on all units. His power play effectiveness in the regular season was highly regarded for both passing the puck and shooting. He also would keep a cool head on the penalty kill. However with all of this ice time in the regular season you wonder where his legs might be when it came playoff time.

 Focus:

   Being a top defenseman has been great for the exrapper. However the publicity he has gotten both in being a great player as well as who he is may have gotten to him. Having lived in the lime light for most of his life, Hammer has been no stranger to interviews. However being a rapper, he did not have to put in the same time to training and his body did not take the beating that it does as a VHL player. Also, since he only had one really good record, he has not been truly adjusted to true stardom. Another issue has been the swirling rumors of when he will play Riga. Hammer wants to make the jump to the VHL as soon as possible, as do any new players. However questions about his work ethic may be effecting his player after a while.

     Hammer had a post season to forget in S42 where he was a non-factor for the Royals. Although as a team they did not score very much, Hammer still was hoping to be a bigger part of it. Then with S43 being so dominant, it is possible that Hammer took his season for granted that these playoffs would be a fluke for him. As seen by his production this was clearly not the case as he was not able to get the puck in the back of the net. It also did not help that most of his video watching was highlights that he had from the season and not from plays that he needed to work on. Hopefully Hammer does not take S44 for granted and puts up big numbers again both in the regular season and the playoffs.

Content: 3/3 - I don't think you had that bad of a post-season. You logged big minutes and such. At least Bern won the championship. You were a beast all season though.

Grammar: 2/2 - A Couple weird things but otherwise it was fine.
with the VHL beating team mate Chuck Goody by 9 points = in the VHLM beating team mate Chuck Goody (pretty sure that's what you meant)
VHL = VHLM (Cause you were in the minors)
exrapper = ex-rapper
gotten both in being a great player = gotten both for being a great player

Appearance: 1/1 - Looks fine.

Overall: 6/6
