So let me think of a story....Let's see.......I got it, perfect. There was a boy born in Salt Lake City, Ontario in 1998. His dad was a hockey fanatic and his mother, well she didn't really like the sport but she loved her son and husband so she had to live with it. His dad was a Montreal fan and always gave the wardrobe to his son while he was still young, The boy as he grew older watched and learned the sport far more then a kid his age would at the age of 6, He was very advanced for his age as a hockey player. Soon this kid would be big!The boy is sitting in his living room watching the hockey game at 8 years old, it was Chicago vs Boston.The boy asked his dad; "Who's that"? after the Bruins had scored. The dad replied "Why that's Patrice Bergeron" The boy says back "I like him!" Boy: "Daddy, someday I will be playing like him in the big leagues" Dad: "Just don't give up" Those words stuck with the child to this day. 224As time went on, the awards rolled in one by one and one after the other then at 10 years old he had the chance to play PeeWee AAA and he took the chance to show his skills, scouts took notice as the kid had pride in his performance and development. He was getting phone calls and "talks" on conditioning and on how to develop into "One of the Greats"! He wasn't at all a loose cannon, he was actually very mature for his age and never hung his skill above peoples heads like a dog trying to jump for that bone in the owners hand. He just took pride. He was a wiz in school and never gave up in hockey or school. He said if it wasn't for Hockey he would probably be in Medical school or preparing for it at least. 365He got a call one day....It changed his life forever......It was from Wayne Gretzky.....Gretzky invited him to his new Prospect camp for 14-16 year old's and This Kid only being 13 was a honor even by "The Great One". He met so many talented kids, yet he still stood out....It was more then just a gift.....As it grew more and more near to his draft year, he improved every second of every day. He wouldn't give up, just like his dad had said almost ten years ago."With the first selection in the OHL Import Draft the London Knights are proud to select from the Toronto Malboros, (Can't say name since there is no name ). The kid was ecstatic to hear he was 1st overall, he wasn't going to give up and he was going to improve to the brink of impossibility. Two seasons went by and his numbers Shattered everything in the record book, you could say this kid owned the OHL/CHL record book. 2 Memorial Cups, 2 Memorial Cup MVPs, that's not even scratching the surface of his achievements. 545Draft year, was here! A dream is about to come true.....Will yours?
