It has been quite some time now since World B. Free spoke to the public and media, so here we go again. He remains as much of a secret as he's ever been, and he remains as much of a maniac as he's ever been. Recently, the VHL club Toronto Legion acquired his rights with the 13th overall pick after Free spent half a season with the Ottawa Lynx and a full year in Russia with the Moscow Red Wolves. This is a funny coincidence as the first player of Free's agent, longtime Cologne Express defenseman Ron World Peace, was also an early second round draft pick when he came into the VHL. So far, World B. Free has played ten games and recorded no goals, but twelve assists, 43 hits and 22 shots blocked. Scouts are most impressed by the twelve assists he has put up, as there had been multiple question marks whether Free could have a seemingly trouble-free transition into the pro league. Ten games in, we can say that the transition seems to be doable, especially as Free will not stop improving according to a recent twitter post: "Great start to the season! More things to come here in Toronto, gotta put in more work at the gym and in the rink."
