Corco 1,237
Iron Eagles Unsure Between Forward/Defense VASTERAS, Sweden - Surprise surprise, the Iron Eagles are looking towards the draft before the post-season is over. This off-season the Iron Eagles would have drafted 3rd overall, however the Seattle Bears won the draft lottery, propelling them to 1st overall, passing the Iron Eagles, Reign, and Americans. This year's draft is considered to be strong, with standout prospects such as Godavari Yumalatopinto, Xin Xei Xiao, and Robin Gow. However, after the top two picks (which are arguably sure-fire prospects), the entropy of the draft increases. There are quite a few second-tier draftees, such as Triton Jackson, Damon Tyrael, and Andrey Zadorov, who all have varying degrees of questions marks surrounding their draft position. For the Iron Eagles however, there is a tough decision to be made regarding whether or not to take a forward or defenseman. In terms of team need, the Iron Eagles would prefer to draft a defenseman, as they have no current prospect defensemen who will reach the VHL; in terms of best player available, the Iron Eagles would most likely be drafting a forward, due to Yumalatopinto and Xiao all but guaranteed to be going in the top three, thus leaving one or two of the talented Robin Gow, Robert Gow III, and Damon Tyrael available to Vasteras. Only time will tell. Link to comment https://vhlforum.com/topic/2769-vasteras-still-undecided-on-draft/ Share on other sites
