VHLM's players have been busy raking in the muscle mass from their training rooms and on-ice sessions. None more than Black Velvet who seems to be exploiting some crazy technique to get 30 training hours a week, but one prospect is flying under the radar; and he kind of likes that. Tyson Kohler, the lesser known prospect of the big three in Yukon this year is having himself a productive campaign. The young "power sniper" (as he refers to himself by) has put up a solid productive season with other linemate Unassisted by his side. Kohler isn't a very loud talker in the dressing room, nor is his presence really known around the VHL world but he is hoping to slide into the top five selections in the VHL Draft.

 

"I honestly don't care too much about positing in relation to the other prospects come draft day. Obviously ever prospect has to sights set on one location over the next, but I'm prepared to get drafted wherever and live through my contract or what have you. Being from Germany doesn't make me want to be in Cologne more than being elsewhere. Hating the people and general inhospitality in Quebec City doesn't make me hate it more or less than other cities. I think it just comes down to fit, I want to go somewhere where they have a bright future. I've kept an eye on which team has the most players improving each week and it has opened my eyes", said Kohler post-practice.

 

The words of Tyson would point to some teams being on the bottom of his wish list based on their updating habits. It appears he understands he isn't the top prospect, but he does want to go to a franchise showing effort.
