After two years of competing and being one of the two best team in the VHLM, the Moscow Red Wolves have finally hit their decline this year. At first they were still pushing for a playoff spot at about the 25-30 game mark but with only 6 players on the roster I figured we had no chance especially if Bratislava decides to beef up for the playoffs. And Beef up they did. They made multiple trades to give them a chance in the playoffs against the likes of the Yukon Rush, Ottawa Lynx and Bern Royals. I was glad to receive two draft picks for a couple of players in their last year and a waiver pickup. I thought that was a shrewd piece of business. I will have a 2nd round pick for the 1st time in about 2 drafts. The plan will be hopefully pick up a decent player and some waiver picks ups and trade for even more picks. That is the life of a VHLM GM. Compete for two seasons and seems like sucks for 2 seasons then hopefully compete again.
