Trust The Process

My name is Brody Bryant. I am the GM for the Brampton Blades and I am writing this to give you all an explanation about our performance this season. I've purchased this space in the newspaper to tell you that this team is not a mess, like many of you have assumed from our record this season. This is simply all apart of the plan to compete next season. The most recent VHLM Draft really left something to be desired on my end. It had players at the top of the draft that were very talented, but the later rounds have proved to be nothing more than guys who can't simply measure up. I thought I could come into this season to compete but I severely miscalculated how important having a team of returning players could be. This team had some carryover talent, but I was essentially working with a blank slate. That is not a problem, as that is something I would prefer. Sometimes to build, you must first destroy and luckily for me this team wasn't in great shape when I took over. That is not a knock to the previous guy in charge at all, just simply an unbiased evaluation of the situation. This team was able to turn a waiver player into a pretty good pick for next seasons draft and an increase in pick for the season following. This isn't the last of my moves. I shall make one more before the trade deadline and it could prove to be the one that possibly helps another team with a championship. I know you are upset that we aren't winning, but I promise you that it is all for the greater good. Trust the process.
