With under 20 minutes a game, and having played one fewer than most other teams, Diana Maxwell currently leads the VHLM in points (31) and is tied for first in goals (19). Her lead in points is not great, and there are several names close behind. First is AK47, with whom Maxwell shares the lead in goals, at 29 points. Four other players are within five points of Maxwell, but they all play more minutes than she does. Her 1.84 points per 20 minutes speaks to this, as the closest to her in that regard has a 1.58. Maxwell's success, as well as her decreased playing time, might both be explained by the fact that she is playing on the second line. Normally she would be a first line player, but the Blades are splitting up her and Theo Axelsson in order to spread the offensive firepower to multiple lines.

With a Founder's Cup as the primary goal of the season, Maxwell also hopes to win some individual accolades. Brampton is currently first overall in the standings with a 12-4-1 record, but given that Maxwell and Axelsson will not be getting any better throughout the season, other teams will be able to close the gap unless the rest of the Blades can improve themselves. Sven Wolf will be a much better playmaker by the playoffs, but the rest of the Brampton roster is a concern.
