The New York Americans proved to be quite the challenger to the Calgary Wranglers to kick off the series. The teams were quite even through and through. In the end though, the Calgary Wranglers managed to win the pivotal game 7 in Calgary to move on to the Continental Cup Finals where they would play the winner out of the Madrid Thunder and the Riga Reign.

2 players reached double digit points in the series. Both these players were on the Wranglers. Captain J.D Stormwall and defenseman Alexander Sauve both had 10 points. J.D had 5 goals and 5 assists while Alexander had 1 goal and 9 assists. 3 other Wranglers pitched in with a point per game pace like Lars Berger with 8 points and 6 goals, Matthew Gunnarsson with 7 points and 6 assists and finally Mikka Virkkunen with 4 goals and 3 assists. Juha Ikonen was pretty disappointing with 2nd line depth as he only had 4 points. Demetrjusz Dudek was decent until Game 7 where he made 47 saves. He finished with a 4-3 record, 234 saves on 256 shots for a .914 save percentage.

Zlatan Zanetti was the points leader on New York with 9 points in 7 games. He scored 2 goals and assisted on 7. 4 others had PPG paces with 3 reaching 8 points and 1 other player getting 7. Nicholas Evans, 4 goals and 4 assists, Keyvan Kljk, 3 goals and 5 assists, Matt Bailey, 1 goal and 7 assists were the players to reach 8. Patrick Bergqvist was the man to reach 7 with 1 goals and 6 assists. Gordon Shore, Jukka Haikken, Lee Classified, Geno Esposito, Adam Blaine, Lars Rasmusson and Mark Aisen all disappointed with 2, 1 and 0 points during the series. Alex Young too didn't have the best playoff series. He finished with a record of 3-3-1, 220 saves on 244 shots for a .902 save percentage to go with 1 shutout and 1 assist. He was ok but no where near good enough to win a series.

Overall, it was a good series for the neutrals as it went the full 7 with mostly all of them being close. Calgary holds the playoff series history at 1 win and 0 losses.
