Tagger 2,722
Coming into the league with all the reputation of a rancid tomato, Edwin Reencarnacion has somehow accidentally become a pretty damn good hockey player. Despite entering the league with the same intentions as his not-on-fire prequel Encarnacion (to boldly sit in the penalty box like no-one has sat before), Reencarnacion has put up some very convincing stats in his six and a half year career to this point, in fact people have actually handed him awards! Yes, awards! With his name on them! And not written with some shitty Sharpie either with the original intended recipient's name covered up. No, actually engraved in as "Edwin Reencarnacion"! In fact, Reencarnacion is currently on pace to potentially make a bit of history in the VHL if he keeps on the pace that he's currently at. If he continues to lead the league in goals scored, which he currently leads by one goal over Unassisted and Tom Lincoln, he will become the third player in VHL history after Scotty Campbell (who had 4) and Alexander Chershenko to take lead the league in goals scored in three seasons. Significantly, this would also make Reencarnacion the only player to have played seven season in the VHL to win three Brooks trophies, as he will be retiring at the end of this season. Hopefully whichever team he moves to at the trade deadline will be accommodating of Reencarnacion's quest and will give him the supporting line he needs to give him the best possible chance at the award.
