Can Brampton Go Defeated?

Recommended Posts

We've seen it happen the rare time in football: a completely defeated season. The Detroit Lions did so a few years ago, countless NCAA teams do so every season, and now, here to vie for the first ever spot among the Hall of Defeated as a hockey team, is the Brampton Blades. Currently at 0-21-4, these Blades are making a historic run. In the NHL, the longest losing streak is 11 games. Blades crushed that one stop in the road. No team in NBA history has had a worse start to the season than the Blades right now, and that includes a reverse Golden State (9-73 record from the 76ers). Will this streak last? Will Brampton sell its soul to another team to acquire picks or something? The Blades currently sit last in the Power Rankings, Standings, have a -91 goal differential, and look to be nowhere close to recovering, scoring at just over a goal per game. The only team to have a worse "losing streak" currently is the Bern Royals, who are nursing a double digit losing streak. The Blades have scored 4 loser points off OTLs this season, removing possibility of a truly defeated season of no points, and that may be the only way to get into the playoffs at this point, seeing as how every game they play ends in a L. If Bern won every 3rd game and the Blades lost every other game in OT, there'd be a chance that a no-win team makes the VHLM playoffs, and that's something I'd like to see. Maybe we shouldn't have considered cutting Yukon off the VHLM. Maybe the Blades need to be cut.
