Can we get a link update submitted to google?

Also another thing when I was trying to access the website from a public computer, can we make the old website banner take you directly here instead of making the person manually type in the address?

Thanks.

If you go to VHLsim.net sterling set up a blog I put a link at the top that takes you right here.  Its really easy to remember the vhlsim.net URL in case you ever have issues getting here.  As far as updating google that's not an easy task we had an insane number of indexed pages on the old site google robots should crawl them and get errors returned which over time should remove/lower the ranking pushing them further and further down the results.  The only way to do it any quicker is webmaster tools for google and go in and manually make changes or put in a robot file that tells google to ignore everything attached to the old url (and who wants to do any of that extra work).

Submitting the new one to google should only take a few seconds though and should start to take over the old stuff naturally.

You can tell the google robot to not crawl our old pages too which should take them out of the listings.

Is the site in question we should update the banner so that it leads here. That website is the first link when you google "Victory Hockey League" so I think its worth it to go over there and redirect it to here instead of typing links.

That's definitely 1 step that should have been done right away on the original forum which still works.  The problem in general is the VHL has been around for 6 years and have been listed on countless forums/message boards/blogs/w.e. we really need to have as many of them switched to here as we can.
