hedgehog337 3,483
Everybody knows that Europe is going through tough times. Majority of stars didn't believe in any EU team in last FA and only Riga is somewhat looks like a contender. But it seems like this team is going to start a rebuild in next season and if that happens - who's going to step up against NA? Right now looks like nobody is ready to take that challenge. Zero teams. ZERO! SMH. But maybe there is a team... Cologne - their playoff matches were entertaining because they had no defense. They will lose Mengsk due to forsed retriement which leaves COL with Dadonov, Hohenzollern and Skovgaard. I see @gregreg will stop to compete because Dadonov can bring really good picks for COL. Davos - sad face. The only bright thing in this team is Apollo Skye and he needs to be traded ASAP. Also, @Gooningitup has his own Komarov who is going to regress from the next season. Thier 5th pick can bring a guy who can start immediately, but that won't change things a lot. Probably Goon will try to compete, because he has goalie, but only way he can bring players in is through trades. Helsinki - @Higgins came to Helsinki and made this team even more quiet. They will have three depth players in S53, one of them is active (although he doesn't do PT's). The draft will make it to 4 depth guys and probably Higgins is thinking about adding some decent/star FA's and a goalie to make a run. It's hard to predict his next move. Riga - actually @Toast can compete in next season if he retains Muller and adds a goalie+decent players/depth. But I have a feeling that after this is the last chance for Riga to take a cup, before the team implodes. I still think Riga isn't hopeless in terms of contending in S53 tho. Stockholm - I think this team is going to save Europe from total failure. Like they have Snatch, Undertaker and DeGrath + Dragonslayer and the first Stockholm pick otw. If @Advantage will find a way how to attract FA's, Stockholm will be dangerous. My vote goes to this team. I named all Europe teams and their chances for the next season. If the next FA class still is going to ignore this place...then @YEAH!stlemania is right, cut VHL to 8 teams is the best solution. 1 TPE goes to Petenis.
