MapFreak 120
The VHLM has reached the quarter mark on the season, which is a good as any to review this season's stars thus far. First Star: Vincenzo Valentini - LW Bratislava Watchmen (First 8, Second 3, Third 1) GP:18 G:25 A:13 P:38 +/-:48 PIM:14 The Watchmen's third line right wing is a sniper's sniper and he's done his job early on in the season. He's second in the league for goals, tenth in shots taken, first in plus-minus, and leads all left wingers in points. Valentini is on track for an incredible, if unsustainable, 100 goal campaign and will be a high-powered addition to the Riga Reign next season.Second Star: Eliana Ben-Lev - C Bern Royals (First 4, Second 4, Third 1) GP:18 G:27 A:15 P:42 +/-:32 PIM:14 The VHLM's league leader in Goals and Points, Ben-Lev is a smooth-skating center with a tremendous shot that finds the twine an astounding 26.21% of the time - that's a full 3% more than the next closest skater. The Royals' star sports a 62.12% faceoff win line that's good for second in the league for centers and is also second in plus-minus behind Valentini. Ben-Lev as #2 isn't so surprising given his lengthy tenure in the VHLM. Third Star: Mario Corvia - LW Bratislava Watchmen (First 4, Second 3, Third 3) GP:18 G:14 A:24 P:38 +/-:29 PIM:4 The S34 Yzerman Trophy winner isn't projected to match his impressive trophy-winning season, but he remains one of the VHLM's premiere two-way forwards and is tied with Valentini to lead the Watchmen and all left wingers in points. Along with Valentini and Sasha Stepanov, the three combine to form the deadliest combination of Left Wings in the league. Look for Corvia to draw attention from VHL teams looking to add bottom six talent. Link to comment https://vhlforum.com/topic/3936-vhlm-three-stars/ Share on other sites
STZ 5,386
Great article here. I love that you incorporated the star stats, which is an overlooked statistic. Unfortunately it's three inactives, but what can you do. Valentini is a beast with 91 scoring though.. Again, keep up the great work!
